Am I Suffering from Postnatal Depression?
There are a couple of quick methods of testing yourself to see if you are depressed according to widely validated self-report questionnaires like the edinburgh postnatal depression scale (also here in english or here in french).
By answering 10 validated questions about your state of mind, coping skills and responses to everyday life, this scale provides you with an overall score that indicates whether you are showing signs of depression.
Scores of 10 or higher indicate that talking to someone about how you are feeling (partner, health practitioners, close friends, family) and getting external help will help ensure that the symptoms you are experiencing are managed - for both you and your family.
If you do the assessment and feel that you need to speak with someone about the results straight away then email me here and I will respond as quickly as possible.
